A lesson before dying pages 29-48

In this part, Grant and Vivian were still talking about moving. They still didn't clarify if they should move or not. Grant started to talk about Jefferson, how he is going to die. He told her the story about Aunt Lou making Grant tell Henri Pichot to change Jefferson into a "man" when he dies. She starts to cry and tells Grant to do the right thing. When Grant goes to school to teach kids, he goes a little harsh on them since he was in a terrible mood. He hits the kids with a ruler if they don't pay attentionor if they don't do something right. Grant decided to tell the kids about Jefferson who is going to be sentenced death. A young girl cried because she was cousins with Jefferson, but Grant didn't really care about it. Later that day, Grant decided to stop by Henri Pichot's place. They all had a meeting with a fat man named Sam Guidry.
