Eragon Pages 106-114
The part I read wasn't much. It was basically Brom and Eragon still journeying. Eragon was using the stolen leather to make a saddle for saphira, but he didn't really know how to make one. Brom decided to make one for him and it looked very good. Brom and Eragon then started to pack up and leave to Zar'roc. Before they left, Brom told Eragon that it would be good to own horses. Even though Eragon has the dragon, Brom told Eragon that the dragon needs to be hidden. After the discussion, they camped out in an area and they talked more about dragons. What I liked about this chapter was a friendship building up with Eragon and Brom. They are becoming more friendly to each other. The part I disliked is how soon there one day journey was. They should have more details when they are moving place to place. Other than that this book is great.

Eragon pages 98-106
The thing that is going on is Eragon, Brom and Saphira are about to go visit Eragon's house, which was burnt down. He went in there to see if his dad was okay or not. Unfortunately, his dad was not there so his dad might be dead from the fire. Eragon got some stuff he needed from the house and he left with Saphira and Brom. When they were going on to their journey, they found a good resting place and decided to sleep there for the night. Eragon and Brom started to talk. Eragon really wanted to know who Brom r eally is. Eragon asked Brom all these questions about why he is coming with Eragon to the journey, and how he knows a lot about dragons. But Brom does not tell him the true answer. Eragon is also suspicious why Brom has a Dragon sword which only dragon riders carry. Brom decided to give that sword to Eragon. I am predicting that Brom was also a dragon rider just like Eragon because he has so much knowledge about them and he carried a Dragon Rider sword. What I like about this part is that it tells a lot about the character. It explains a lot about Brom in the part I read. My dislike about this part is how there is no action. The part was mostly about Brom talking about himself.

Eragon pages 1-38
The story was basically about a boy named Eragon, who went to go buy some meat for his family. When he was talking to the guy selling meat, Eragon pulled out a spherical ball looking thing and asked the trader how much it would be worth. The trader told him that it wouldn't be a deal. Eragon went home and few days later, he found out that the sphere started to crack. Eragon then found out it was an egg, but then the animal inside the egg was a dragon. Eragon couldn't believed what happened. I think the section I read was good because it caught my attention when Christopher Paolini started to describe what was going on with the egg. I also like it how the story is set up in the beginning. He finds a sphere and doesn't know what it is, until it starts hatching. That was a good story set up.
